We gladly invite you to visit the Castle Church in Lutherstadt Wittenberg. Being on the register of  Unesco World Cultural Monuments we are open for you 365 days a year.

 

Church Hours

 

From Easter (beginning with Good Friday) till October 31st:

Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Sundays, 11:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

 

 

From November 1st till Easter (up through Maundy Thursday):

Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Sundays, 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

We kindly request that you be seated during worship services and musical events.

Admission is free of charge. However, we are grateful for your gifts in the offering box so that we can continue to keep the church open for you.

In the case that you receive a guided tour of the Castle Church, either by a church employee or a city guide, we request a tour fee of 3 euros (1,50 euros reduced) per person.

Tours of the church are possible when scheduled in advance (see contacts).

Climbing the tower of the Castle Church to the look-out platform gives visitors an impressive view of historic downtown Wittenberg as well as the landscape of the Elbe river.

 

 

Tower Hours

 

From Easter (beginning with Good Friday) till October 31st:

Monday through Friday, Noon – 4 p.m. (last entry at 3:30 p.m.)

Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (last entry at 4:30 p.m.)

 

Outside of these hours, entrance to the tower may be scheduled with the church sexton.

Admission: 2 euros / 1 euro (persons attending school or university, disabled persons) / Children under 7 free.
