Organ:

 

The organ in the Castle Church was built by the renowned organ builder, Friedrich Ladegast of Weissenfels, in 1864.

 

          In 1994 the organ was restored as well as expanded upon by Hermann Eule Organ Builders in Bautzen.

 

The organ has 4 manuals and pedal and 57 ranks. It has aprox. 3500 pipes and a mechanical action.

 

Besides having organ concerts given by international artists, there are 30-minute recitals each week on Tuesdays at 2:30 p.m., May through October.

 

It is also possible for groups to book a private organ recital and or tour.
