Sing-Along Project of the Schola Cantorum Adam Rener

The Schola Cantorum Adam Rener invites you to a sing-along project: As part of an Evensong service, Bach's cantata BWV 117 "Sei Lob und Ehr dem höchsten Gut" will be performed on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.

Do you enjoy singing and have some choral experience? Then you are warmly invited to participate. The following rehearsals are scheduled: Fri., April 10, 6:30–8:30 p.m. • Sat., April 11, 2:00–4:30 p.m. • Fri., April 24, 6:30–8:30 p.m. • Sat., April 25, 2:00–4:30 p.m. • Tue., May 12, 6:30–8:30 p.m. • Fri., May 15, 6:30–8:30 p.m. • Sat., May 16, 3:00–5:00 p.m.

Rehearsals will take place in various rooms of the Schlosskirche ensemble.

Castle Church History

Under the motto "Frederick's Castle Through the Ages – Change – Impact – Vision," special guided tours are offered in commemoration of Frederick the Wise – through parts of the south tower and the Reformation History Research Library. Photo: © Andreas Bechert

30 Years of World Heritage

In 1996, the castle church was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as an almost completely preserved prime example of 19th-century monument preservation. From 2012 to 2016, it was renovated and restored with funding from the State of Saxony-Anhalt, the Federal Republic of Germany, the European Union, and private donors.
