"On the Longing for Peace"

Sunday Lectures Begin in January 2026 at the Wittenberg Seminary

Three "Sunday Lectures in Conversation" at the Wittenberg Evangelical Seminary will address a pressing and relevant topic of our time.

The events follow in the tradition of Martin Luther's Table Talks. With a short presentation, a reflection on a work of art, and music, attendees are invited to join in conversation and exchange over refreshments.

We warmly invite you to join us for a discussion. The Sunday lectures will take place at 11:00 a.m. on the dates listed above at various locations within the Wittenberg Castle Church complex, following the church service. The events are open to the public and free of charge.

30 Years of World Heritage

In 1996, the castle church was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as an almost completely preserved prime example of 19th-century monument preservation. From 2012 to 2016, it was renovated and restored with funding from the State of Saxony-Anhalt, the Federal Republic of Germany, the European Union, and private donors.
